NFL predictions: Bills, Raiders and 49ers for Week 3

The new gridiron season is in full swing and we’re continuing our regular Sunday NFL predictions with a 6/1-plus handicap treble for punters to consider.

Bwin has a whole host of team and player betting markets on every match, but we’re sticking to the spread odds for our Week 3 selections.

Bills -8 points vs Washington @ 10/11

Buffalo are perfectly equipped to post emphatic victories over inferior opposition, as they illustrated when crushing Miami 35-0.

Josh Allen loves to boost his personal stats in matches like this and memories of allowing Pittsburgh to score 17 fourth-quarter points in a Week 1 loss should ensure the defense stays focused throughout.

Washington received some help from the Giants when shading a 20-19 victory and stand-in QB Taylor Heinicke will face a stiffer test here.

Raiders -4 points vs Dolphins @ 10/11

With Miami all beaten up by that drubbing against Buffalo in front of their own fans, when Tua Tagovailoa suffered bruised ribs and exited early, they look worth opposing in Las Vegas.

The Raiders have made a statement of intent by seeing off two perennial powerhouses in Baltimore and Pittsburgh, with Derek Carr looking full of confidence and finding speedy wide receivers with ease.

On defense, Yannick Ngakoue appears a shrewd recruit and is capable of wreaking havoc in tandem with Maxx Crosby for this match-up.

49ers -3.5 points vs Packers @ 19/20

San Francisco haven’t been overly convincing in wins over Detroit and Philadelphia but have shown they are willing to dig deep in the trenches.

The same cannot be said yet of Green Bay, who suffered a blow-out in New Orleans and then took a long time to get going at home to the Lions.

If this develops into a war of attrition between two fierce rivals, we reckon the 49ers are holding all the aces up front on both sides of the ball in our NFL betting tips.
